Rhyda Amanfo Ofori previously worked with the Ghana Education Service but currently working
with the Underground Mining Alliance (UMA) in Obuasi. She started playing cricket in the year
2006 and led Ghana to its first ever international tournament in the year 2015 at the Gambia.
As captain of Ghana’s senior women’s cricket team she has contributed greatly to attract young
girls and build interest in the sport of cricket in Obuasi as an ambassador to encourage young
talent. She is currently the captain of the Pomposo Royals cricket club in Obuasi.
As the Local Partnerships coordinator of the Foundation, Rhyda seeks to support the Foundation
excel in every aspect.
